Bengaluru, March 14: BJP municipality leader Srinivas Prasad known as Kithaganahalli Vasu was hacked to death today morning by unidentified assailants near BTL college on Hosur road, Anekal.
“BJP councillor and Dalit leader Srinivas Prasad, was stabbed with sharp weapons around 5 AM,” Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police Vinit Singh told PTI over telephone.
He was on his way for morning walk when he was waylaid and attacked by the miscreants in a brutal manner. The reason for his murder is not known as yet but a tiff over a piece of land is considered a possibility.
Vasu belonged to the Bommasandra municipality in Bengaluru and his wife Shailaja is a zilla panchayat member.
The news came after he was allegedly kidnapped by some unidentified people. Later on, his death was confirmed by Bengaluru’s Surya City Police station in the morning. However, the police are yet to identify the people involved.

On October 16, an RSS worker was hacked to death in Bengaluru, which triggered massive protests by BJP and RSS workers.
There has been a political instability in South Indian states like Tamil Nadu and Kerala for some time now and with yet another incident here, Karnataka has made its mark in the list.
