A First Information Report was registered against actor Alok Nath under Section 376 of IPC (Rape) on Wednesday, based on a complaint filed by the writer-director Vinta Nanda.
Nanda’s lawyer Dhruti Kapadia confirmed the registration, reported ANI.

“The Oshiwara police has registered an FIR against Alok Nath for rape on the complaint filed by Vinta Nanda,” said Manoj Sharma, additional CP of Mumbai Police.
Nanda had lodged a complaint in October against Nath, who allegedly raped and sexually harassed her in 1990s.
The actor, best-known for his roles as sanskaari bapuji in several films and television shows, has also been accused of harassment and sexual misconduct by actresses Sandhya Mridul, Deepika Amin as well as other women.
